CZĘSTOCHOWA BOXING CUP

Boxing show organised by NG Promotions and Andrzej Gmitruk will take place in Czestochowa on 5th of August. MMA superstar Alistair Overeem attended Sunday's press conference in Czestochowa's ''S'' Theatre, where he helped in promoting this event. In the fight of the night we will see Dariusz Sek (12-0-1, 4 KO). Undercard is full of well-known names, such as Maciej Sulecki (6-0, 2 KO), Norbert Dabrowski (4-0, 1 KO) or Aleksy Kuziemski (21-3, 5 KO), who's coming back after controversial loss against Nathan Cleverly (22-0, 11 KO) in the world championship fight.

On  21st of May in London's O2 Arena, Cleverly was hurt in the second round, when Kuziemski hit him flush on the chin with left hook. Home favourite came back strongly in the third and fourth and blood was coming from the cut above Pole's left eyebrow, although stoppage seemed premature as Kuziemski was defending himself and throwing back. It was a decent performance from a huge underdog, who took the fight on short notice - Kuziemski could be proud of himself and audience will surely welcome him with loud applause on 5th of August.
